Border Closure: FG Suspends Fuel Supply To All Stations Within Land Borders

As part of efforts to ensure temporary shutdown of activities in all the land borders in Nigeria are strictly adhered to, federal government has directed immediate stoppage of supply of petroleum products to all fuel stations within the land borders of the country. 

However, Nigeria Customs Service, has directed by the federal government has ordered clampdown on fuel supply to stations within 20km of the borders.

The Custom Comptroller General Hameed Ali had issued the directive on Wednesday, stating that the step was to ensure there is no illegal means of transporting contraband goods from all the land borders of the country, adding that if supply of fuel is revoked in all the fuel stations, the aim of the federal government to maintain sanity in all the land borders and reduction of smuggle products into the country will be achieved.
