Aha!! Housewife Bits Off Neighbour’s Lip Over Child's Dispute

Magistrate K.O. Ogundare of Ikeja Magistrates' Court on Thursday remanded a 38-year-old Oluchi Olu for allegedly bitting off her neighbour, Gift Paul's lower lip.

Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Edet Akadu said Oluchi who lives at 37, Isolo Road, Mushin, Lagos bit off Gift’s lower lip and left her with grievous injury.

Oluchi was however charged with four counts bothering on causing grievous hurt, assault, and breach of peace and inflicting wound.

She pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Akadu, told the court that the defendant, Oluchi and the complainant, Gift, had on Jan. 3, had an altercation as a result of the conflict between their children.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 246, 173, 168 and 247 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Magistrate K.O. Ogundare admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

Ogundare adjourned the case untill Feb. 2, for mention.
